What do you do with a story that only starts on a concept that leads you to something ridiculous?The World Ends with You does just that by throwing you into a scenario with no sense, having you piece together the situation as he goes on. Set in a the present day Shibuya, the environment is filled with technology, fashion, and trends. In combination with its unique graffiti-like art style, the music serves to present the game as a unique entity, the first of a new style of game. We have seen the games where the selling points, “hip” and “radical” served to create only a minor novelty following because of the concept’s ridiculousness. This game may be among the few that has succeeded in turning that concept into a powerful tool. No More Heroes

Not family friendly at all.

In the nitty, gritty world of Santa Destroy, the chaos and unpredictability of everything makes nothing certain in the future. No More Heroes is a game that takes this to heart by turning the music on its head and surrounding the entire story in leitmotifs. While each track defines the character it represents, laying them in order will not tell you a thing about the story at all. With the multitude of different styles incorporated into the game, the world is ill-defined with no means of properly calling it any style at all. From the beginning to the gore filled end, the only thing we know is that the game lives in the moment.

Th first rule that we must all face with Crossovers is simple,everything changes. The symphonies created for many titles will inevitably have to be ported over to the new game to preserve the theme of the character. But when the theme of the game changes, so does the music. Crossovers carry with them the power to revamp many different styles of music regardless of the previous incarnations in the name of presenting a unified package. The potential of it is boundless mainly because crossover series are subjective and all encompassing.
